Bronze in the Free From Food Awards 2018!

We are delighted to announce that the Juvela Part Baked Fibre Rolls have been awarded Bronze in the 2018 Free From Food Awards!

Judges praised the part baked rolls saying ‘’These look amazing: a good crust and springy interior.’ FreeFrom Food Awards judges included professional foodies, medics, coeliacs and allergy sufferers and parents of allergic children. As well as a dozen or so freefrom bloggers and a good sprinkling of ‘outsiders’ to benchmark the products against ‘normal’, non-freefrom equivalents.

The Part Baked Rolls are perfect for open sandwiches, garlic bread or bruschetta. They are so quick and easy to prepare – simply pop into a hot oven for hot crusty ‘just-baked’ bread at home!

As well as being available through your pharmacy, you can now buy the Part Baked Fibre Rolls are in selected Morrisons Stores.  Find out more.

Juvela were one of over 30 winners to be presented with their certificates before 300 guests at the Royal College of Physicians at the FreeFrom Food Awards annual networking party.

Other winners included Anila’s Sauces, Asda, BFree, Bute Island, FREEE by Doves Farm’s, Nairn’s, Ugo Thrive, Tesco and start up brands Wildcraft GF Bakery and Jake’s Boost. And in a nail biting finish Tesco, yet again, just pipped Asda to the Retailer of the Year award. (See below for full list.)

‘We wondered whether we had hit the high point last year with our 10th anniversary’, said Michelle Berriedale-Johnson, director of the awards. ‘but not at all…. Fantastic entries this year – a wider range of products – so many gluten free beers that we had to schedule multiple judging sessions! And not only excellent products – but SO many of them free of multiple allergens. Again this year our NO TOP 14 allergens category had one of the largest entries. FreeFrom is most definitely still moving onward and upward in every way.’

The awards are run by the Foods Matters team who also run the FreeFrom Eating Out Awards, The FreeFrom Skincare Awards  and the Foodsmatter websites, one of the biggest online resources for food allergy and intolerance with over a million unique visitors a year.
