Great (Gluten-Free) Bake Off 2018

Since we’re eagerly following the Great British Bake Off this year, we set ourselves a challenge to make our very own gluten-free bakes in line with the weekly Bake Off theme!

All recipes use Juvela Gluten-Free White Mix

Week 1 – Biscuit Week

We kick off with our favourite biscuit… the cookie!

Scrummy cookies with a soft runny centre if you eat them warm or a thick chocolate middle if you can wait long enough for them to cool!


Week 2 – Cake Week

For Cake Week, we’ve been busy in the Juvela kitchen developing a BRAND NEW  cake recipe using the Juvela Gluten-Free Mix – showing you how our Mixes really do make simply everything – so versatile, adaptable and reliable!

And here is the latest creation – a fabulous Chocolate Marble Cake – swirls of chocolate and vanilla sponge make this cake look really enticing, and the flavours are just divine!


Week 3 – Bread Week

We’ve jumped on the bread making bandwagon and created a simple recipe for a delicious crusty loaf which you can make as a white, fibre or multi-seeded loaf.

Who doesn’t love a thick slice of freshly baked bread (especially while it’s still warm from the oven), with your favourite cheese, pate or simply spread with butter – simple pleasures!

Week 4 – Dessert Week
gluten free tiramisu

We are all thoroughly enjoying the series so far and cannot wait for a splendid array of delicious desserts tonight.

It also gives us the perfect excuse to bake a delicious dessert here in the Juvela kitchen!

A quick vote and the classic Italian favourite, tiramisu, won hands down! Layers of coffee-soaked sponge and rich marsala infused cream make up this delightful dessert, perfect to end any meal!
