Parmesan & Basil Chicken Burgers

These tasty chicken burgers make a great quick and easy midweek meal!

Ingredients

Burger ingredients:
750g chicken mince
Fresh basil
35g parmesan
1 medium egg
½ tsp garlic salt
½ tsp salt
Freshly ground black pepper
Juvela gluten free fresh white or fibre rolls
Toppings:
1 avocado
¼ tsp garlic salt
Juice of half a lemon
A few slices of red onion
A few slices of tomato
1 tbsp mayonnaise

Method

  1. Place all the burger ingredients into a large bowl and mix well.
  2. Take approx 1/6th of the mixture, roll into a ball, and gently shape into a burger patty. Repeat with the rest of the mixture.
  3. Make a small dent in the centre of each patty to ensure even cooking.
  4. Place in the fridge to firm up for about 20 minutes. Let the burgers cool back to room temp before cooking.
  5. Cook the burgers in a frying pan over medium heat for around 10 minutes, flipping them halfway.
  6. Grill the rolls until slightly golden (optional).
  7. To make the guacamole, mash the avocado and add garlic salt and lemon. Mix well.
  8. Assemble the burger and enjoy whilst hot. The burger patties are suitable for freezing.
