Onion Bhajis

Onion bhajis make a perfect starter or accompaniment to your favourite curry on a Saturday night!

This recipe uses 2tbsp of White Mix. A 500g pack of White Mix is 2 units of your monthly prescription unit allowance.

Makes 6
Suitable for home freezing


  • 2 tbsp Juvela Gluten-Free White Mix
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium egg
  • 1 tbsp curry powder*
  • Method

    1. Combine all ingredients together.
    2. Heat some oil in a large frying pan and place a large spoonful of the mixture into the pan.
    3. Fry gently for 2-3 minutes on each side or until crisp and golden. Remove from the pan and drain on some kitchen paper.
    4. Repeat with the remaining mixture and serve immediately with mango chutney.
