Mushroom & Halloumi Burger

The ultimate veggie burger - juicy portobello mushroom and grilled halloumi - housed between a Juvela gluten free fresh roll!

Makes 1


  • 2 thick slices Halloumi cheese
  • 2tsp olive oil
  • 1 Portobello mushroom
  • 1 Juvela Gluten Free Fresh White Roll
  • 1tbsp tomato chutney
  • To garnish: red onion, sliced tomato, salad leaves
  • Method

    1. Heat a griddle pan (or BBQ); brush the mushroom with a little oil and cook for a few minutes each side.
    2. Drizzle the olive oil over the halloumi; place on the griddle (or BBQ) and fry for a couple of minutes each side or until charred lines appear.
    3. Meanwhile, slice the roll in half and griddle until lightly toasted.
    4. To assemble the burger, spread the bottom half of the roll with the chutney, place the mushroom on top, followed by the halloumi, and then top with the garnish and roll lid to serve.
