Halloumi Fries

Simply scrumptious – perfect weekend nibbles to dunk into your favourite dips!

This recipe uses 50g of White Mix. A 500g pack of White Mix is 2 units of your monthly prescription unit allowance

  • 50g Juvela Gluten Free White Mix
  • ¼ tsp each of dried oregano, ground cumin and ground coriander
  • 1tsp sesame seeds
  • 250g block halloumi
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Method

    1. Combine the Mix with the herbs, spices and sesame seeds.
    2. Slice the halloumi into fries and roll each piece in the mixture to coat well.
    3. Heat the oil in a shallow frying pan; fry the halloumi a few pieces at a time for a couple of minutes until golden; transfer to a plate with kitchen roll to drain.
    4. Serve with dips your favourite dip - we used natural yoghurt with finely chopped cucumber.
