Halloumi Bites

Ingredients

1 block Halloumi
2 medium eggs, lightly beaten
50g breadcrumbs, made from a Juvela Gluten Free White or Fibre Loaf
1tbsp Parmesan, finely grated
½ tsp paprika
Freshly ground black pepper

Method

  1. Beat the eggs in a shallow bowl; in a separate bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, parmesan, paprika and sesame seeds (if using).
  2. Cut the halloumi into chunks; dip into the egg (a few at a time), then coat in the breadcrumbs.
  3. Transfer to a non-stick oven tray, drizzle with olive oil and bake in a preheated oven for about 10minutes, then turn and cook for a further 5 minutes.
  4. Serve with honey sprinkled with chilli flakes, sweet chilli sauce, or a tangy tomato chutney.
