Fruit & Nut Granola

A great energy-boosting breakfast - mix it up by varying the nuts, seeds and dried fruit, or add chocolate chips (after baking!) for an indulgent treat. Perfect sprinkled over natural yogurt with berries and sliced banana!!

Makes 6-8 portions


  • 100g pecans and/or almonds (flaked or whole)
  • 50g sunflower and/or pumpkin seeds
  • 250g Juvela Gluten Free Pure Oats
  • Pinch of salt
  • 75ml sunflower or coconut oil
  • 50ml runny honey
  • 1tsp vanilla extract
  • 50g dried fruit – cranberries and/or apricots
  • Method

    1. Preheat your oven to 190°C/170°Fan/375°F/Gas Mark 5
    2. Roughly break up the pecans, leaving some chunky pieces.
    3. In a large bowl, combine the nuts, seeds, Oats, and a pinch of salt.
    4. Add the oil, honey and vanilla and stir to coat the dry ingredients.
    5. Pour into a large baking tray lined with baking parchment and roughly spread into a thick layer.
    6. Bake for 15minutes, then remove from the oven; stir well to break mixture up a little and add dried fruit.
    7. Return to the oven for a further 10 minutes until golden brown.
    8. Stir again to break up and then leave to cool before popping into an airtight container.
