Chicken Goujons

These yummy tender strips of crispy breaded chicken are so simple to make - perfect for kids and adults alike!

This recipe uses 25g of White Mix and 75g of a White or Fibre Loaf. A 500g pack of White Mix is 2 units and a 400g loaf is 1 unit of your monthly prescription unit allowance.

  • 200g chicken breast strips
  • 25g Juvela Gluten-free White Mix
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 medium egg, lightly beaten
  • 75g breadcrumbs, made from a Juvela Gluten-Free White/Fibre Loaf
  • Method

    1. Before you start, preheat the oven to 200ºC/400ºF/Gas Mark 6 and lightly grease a baking tray.
    2. Add the paprika to the Mix.
    3. Dip each strip of chicken in the Mix, then into the egg, and then coat evenly with the breadcrumbs.
    4. Place on baking tray and bake in a preheated oven (200°C/180°Fan/400°F/Gas Mark 6) for 15 minutes, turning frequently until golden OR heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a frying pan, and pan fry on a medium heat for approx 5minutes each side until golden brown and cooked through.
