Gluten Free Goodies!

I’m known as the ‘treat fairy’ at work because I love bringing in tasty snacks for us all to share in the office! I love food whether its sweet or savoury, but I do like something sweet with my afternoon cup of tea!

Luckily there are lots of gluten-free sweet treats available to buy in the supermarkets, here are some of my favourites;

M&S ‘Made Without Wheat’ Millionaire’s Caramel Crisp Mini Bites – small bites but they taste amazing!

Cadbury’s Chocolate Buttons & Mini Eggs

Prewett’s ‘No Wheat’ Chocolate & Orange Wafer Bars & Chocolate Cookies

Remember you don’t always have to buy from the ‘free from’ aisle (this can work out very expensive!) – there are lots of standard products which are naturally gluten-free and safe for coeliacs, check your Coeliac UK Food & Drink Directory for suitable brands.

It is also so easy to make your own sweet snacks! I have used the Juvela recipes for years and find them so easy to follow and they usually turn out just perfect! Here are some of my favourite recipes for sweet snacks;

Flapjacks made from Juvela Pure Oats are great for eating when out and about.

I love the Juvela recipe for Chocolate & Pecan Brownies – quick to make and so gooey!

Seeing as its nearly Easter, I am going to be enjoying some of these delicious Chocolatey Flake Cakes, which are so much fun to make with children and they will love to eat them too!

If you have any recipes to share please post them at the bottom of the page.

Hope you enjoyed my blog, sorry if it made you reach for the biscuit tin!
