The decision to stop gluten free prescriptions in areas within the Northamptonshire CCG has been reversed until March 2021, meaning bread and flour are available on prescription again.
In September 2020, gluten free prescriptions had been stopped in the Northamptonshire CCG area– however, we have recently been informed that this decision has been reversed.
This is brilliant news for people with coeliac disease in the area, who can now continue to enjoy our range of soft, real bread and gluten free flour substitutes.
Bread and flour are available to people diagnosed with coeliac disease in eligible areas of England to offer a safe, reliable and cost-effective way to adhere to the strict, lifelong gluten free diet which is the only way to manage coeliac disease.
