Gluten free prescription update: Sheffield

Sheffield CCG is now part of the NHS South Yorkshire ICB*.

The gluten free prescribing policies have aligned, resulting in those diagnosed with coeliac disease living in Sheffield being able to once again take up a gluten free prescription.

Maintaining a gluten free diet is paramount for those with coeliac disease and gluten free prescriptions are not only cost effective but ensure a safe and regular supply of store cupboard essentials.

*ICBs - Integrated Care Boards - NHS organisations who look after local health services; ICBs have replaced CCGs (Clinical Commissioning Groups).
