Crispbread Topping Ideas
Just a few quick and delicious topping ideas for the crunchy crispbread - ideal for a quick snack or when you're out and about! These recipes can be scaled up and stored in the fridge for 2-3 days.
For 2 JUVELA Gluten-Free Crispbreads allow:
Smoked salmon & cream cheese:
Combine 75g (3oz) cream cheese*
with 1tsp dried dill and spread over crispbreads. Top with pieces of smoked salmon.
Coronation chicken:
Combine 1 small cooked chopped chicken breast with 25g (1oz) chopped dried apricots, 25g (1oz) currants, 1 tbsp curry paste* and 3tbsp half-fat crème fraiche*.
Tuna Nicoise:
Combine together 75g (3oz) tinned tuna, drained, 1 chopped medium hard-boiled egg, 25g (1oz) chopped black olives, 1 chopped tomato, 1/2 chopped red onion, and 25g (1oz) sliced green beans.
Mushroom Pate:
Combine together 75g (3oz) finely chopped mushrooms, 1tbsp finely chopped fresh chives and 3tbsp crème fraiche*.
Mixed Cheese:
Combine together 25g (1oz) grated mature white cheddar, 25g (1oz) grated Red Leicester, 1tbsp finely chopped fresh chives, and 3tbsp mayonnaise*.
Houmous, Avocado, & Sunblush Tomato:
Spread a thick layer of houmous* onto each Crispbread. Top with slices of avocado and sunblush tomatoes.
Mascarpone & Parma Ham:
Spread a thick layer of mascarpone onto each Crispbread.
Top with slices of Parma ham and finish with roughly chopped grapes if desired.
Cottage Cheese, Rocket & Tomato:
Place a small handful of fresh rocket leaves
onto each Crispbread, top generously with natural cottage cheese and add roughly chopped cherry tomatoes.
