Q. Are the JUVELA products available on prescription?

A. Yes, the entire JUVELA Gluten-Free Product Range is available on prescription for the Coeliac Condition and Dermatitis Herpetiformis. The products can also be purchased through your local pharmacy.

Q. Do the JUVELA products contain any artificial colours or preservatives?

A. No, all of the E numbers in the JUVELA products are naturally occurring stabilisers, raising agents and preservatives. The E numbers stated in the ingredients list represent the following ingredients:

Stabiliser E412 = Guar Gum
Stabiliser E464 = Hydroxymethylcellulose
Raising Agent E575 = Glucono-delta-lactone
Raising Agent E500 = Sodium Bicarbonate
Preservative E296 = Malic Acid

Q. Are any of the JUVELA products suitable for a gluten and dairy free diet?

A. Yes, we do have some products within the range which are gluten and dairy free. These include:
Harvest Mix - a multi-purpose baking mix which is suitable for making bread, cakes, pastry and biscuits, as well as thickening soups and sauces.
Crispbread - similar in style to a Ryvita. Their crunchy texture and delicious nutty flavour makes them suitable for sweet and savoury toppings.
Sweet Biscuits - a rich vanilla shortbread style biscuit - an ideal accompaniment with a cup of tea or coffee.
Pasta Range - available in 3 varieties: Spaghetti, Fusilli, and Macaroni.

Q. Why do JUVELA not produce a cake or pastry mix?

A. The JUVELA Gluten-Free Mix and Gluten-Free Fibre Mix are both all-purpose ‘flour’ substitutes, suitable for making bread, pastry, cakes, biscuits and sauces to name but a few! Many of your own favourite recipes can simply be adapted by replacing traditional flour with Gluten-Free Mix.
