Q. Can I eat Juvela Gluten-Free Loaves and Rolls straight from the packet?
A. Yes, but due to the special packaging that enables it to be kept fresh for 13 weeks from the date it is baked, we recommend that you refresh you bread back to its original oven-baked freshness.
You can refresh your Juvela bread in one of three ways: in a conventional oven, in a microwave, or simply by toasting. Full instructions are given on-pack.
The part-baked range differ as you actually complete the baking process off at home in your oven. To guarantee a crisp crust and light crumb we recommend that these are used in a conventional oven only.
Q. Can you freeze the Juvela Loaves and Rolls?
A. If freezing is necessary, you need to pierce the packaging to release the protective atmosphere. We suggest that you remove the bread from its outer packaging and place into a freezer bag. Alternatively, remove all packaging and wrap in freezer bags in individual portion sizes.
Q. Are the Juvela loaves and rolls fortified with calcium?
A. Although the Juvela loaves and rolls do contain higher levels of calcium than traditional bread, they are not fortified with calcium. Fortification may have detrimental effects on the quality and flavour of the bread.
Natural sources of calcium in the diet include dairy products such as milk, cheese and yoghurt.
