Recipe Competition

In our January e-newsletter we ran a competition to win a Le Creuset frying pan!

The lucky winner was Kelly Bird who suggested this yummy filling for gluten-free pancakes... perfect for pud anytime of the year!

Make the pancakes following the Juvela recipe:

  • 100g (4oz) JUVELA Gluten-Free Mix
  • 2 medium eggs, lightly beaten
  • 250ml (½ pt) milk

Place the Gluten-Free Mix in a bowl, beat in the eggs and gradually add the milk, beating well to produce a smooth batter. Heat the oil in a large pan, pour off the excess, and pour in sufficient batter to evenly coat the base of the pan. Cook for a couple of minutes until golden, then flip pancake and cook other side.

The filling:

Melt the following in a pan: 2 tbsp butter 3 tbsp sugar 1 tbsps cinnamon. Add 4 thinly sliced apples (Granny Smith work well), cook on a low heat until apples are tender for approximately 10-15 minutes.

Once the apples are done add a generous spoonful to each pancake… yum!
